We have one of the larger plain text historical data inventories on the Internet and have served private traders, researchers, educators and investors worldwide.

Plain text, comma delimited data is easily opened by Excel and most of the trading software on the market today. Historical data examples are includes throughout our site for you to copy and test. Here is an example of what plain text, comma delimited data would look like:

Vol = Volume for that individual contract
OI = Open Interest on that individual contract
Total Vol = Volume for all Contracts traded in that commodity
Total OI = Open Interest for all Contracts traded in that commodity

Currently Norman's Historical Data focuses on commodities, indexes, averages and cash data from all major North American Exchanges. The shortest time period for our futures historical data is daily data, sometimes called End of Day or EOD.

Commodity historical data includes complete futures contracts from first day of trading to last, front month data (both rolling on volume and rolling by contract expiration) and cash/spot data when available.
